Edison Norge As participates in the drilling of the Tvillingen Sør, located in PL510.
The drilling operation to re-spud the well 6406/6-4S starts on week 33.
The Operator (Maersk Oil), and the partnership, has carefully evaluated to re-drill Tvillingen Sør Prospect, after plugging and abandoning the first exploration well last February, due to operational problems.
The semi-submersible drilling rig, Leiv Eiriksson, moved on 6th August 2015.
Water depth at the site is 261m. Reservoir targets of Tvillingen Sør Prospect are the Jurassic sandstones related to the Fangst & Båt Group.
Partners in the license are Maersk Oil as Operator 50%, Edison Norge 30% and North Energy 20%.
Well 7130/4-1, Ørnen Prospect in PL 708
Edison Norge AS will participate to the drilling of well 7130/4-1, Ørnen Prospect, located in PL 708.
PL 708, located on the Finnmark Platform, in the East Barents Sea, was awarded on 21st June 2013, as result of the 22nd Licensing Round.
Lundin, the Operator, is planning to start the drilling operation by the end of Q4 2015.
The primary objective of the well is to test the reservoir quality and the hydrocarbon presence of the Permian Spiculite, Roye Fm., and potential secondary targets are Ørn and Soldoggs Fms.
The results of the well 7130/4-1 are considered by Edison Norge AS, Operator in the nearby production license PL 707, extremely important for the evaluation of an analogue play concept.
Planned well in 2016 - Aurelia well in PL 226B
Edison Norge AS will participate to the drilling of Aurelia well in the production license PL 226B, where ENI Norge AS, Operator, planned to spud the well in Q1/Q2 2016.
Edison Norge AS acquired 20 per cent share in PL 226B, last 2014.
